
1985 - Eurostock Meat Marketing Ltd is incorporated
Eurostock begins trading from a purpose built production facility in Newry, Northern Ireland. Initially it operates as a commercial de-boning plant.
1987 - Salford Meat Packers Ltd is incorporated
The company operates from a site in St.Helen's, Merseyside, as a dedicated frozen minced and diced meat packing facility.
1990 - Eurostock Meat Marketing begins to supply the French retail market.
Eurostock identifies a strong market for frozen processed beef and veal offal in France, and begins exporting to the French retail market.
1992 - Eurostock opens new processing plant
A new retail packing plant is built at the site in Newry and opens in March of this year to cater for the growing demand for processed offal products in the French market.
1992 - Eurostock becomes the leading supplier by volumes of beef and veal offals to the French market
1996 - Eurostock Meat Marketing Ltd wins Queens Award for Export Achievement 1996
Eurostock wins the Queens Award for Export, in honour of its continued success in developing its retail business in France. Eurostock is the first Northern Irish meat processor to recieve the award.
1996 - BSE crisis explodes.
At the same time as Eurostock winning the Queen's Award for Export, a world wide ban is imposed on the export of British beef, as the BSE crisis in Great Britain continues to escalate. This effectively closes all of Eurostock's overseas markets.
1998 - Eurostock Meat Marketing acquires Salford Meat Packers Ltd

1999 - Dawn Irish Gold brand is launched in North America. Eurostock becomes the first Northern Irish meat processor to export to North America in thrity years, as it launches a new range of traditional Irish breakfast sausages and bacon in the United States.
2000 - Salford Meat Packers Ltd acquires a new site. The new site is located at Hindley Green, Wigan. A purpose built processing facility is to open here. | ![]() |
2000 - Eurostock Meat Marketing opens a Sales Office with three staff in Boston, Masacheteus to manage developing the US business.
2001 - New coldstore facility opens at Salford Meat Packers
2001 - Eurostock Meat Marketing ltd receives Chartered Institute of Marketing Award.
Eurostock recieves the "Strategic Marketing in Agri-Food" award from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in recognition of the success of its brand of Traditional Irish sausages and bacon in the US retail sector.
2001 - Foot and Mouth Disease crisis hits UK meat industry.
2001 - The US bans imports of meat and dairy products.
All meat and dairy exports to US are banned due to the ongoing Foot and Mouth Disease crisis. This is a significant blow to the North American operation.
2002 - Eurostock Food Group Ltd is incorporated.
The new group comprises two manufacturing bases :
Eurostock Foods Newry Ltd
Eurostock Foods Hindley Ltd
2002 - Eurostock Food Group begins importing South American lamb.
Eurostock forms a strategic alliance with Orenaike S.A. for importing lamb from Argentina. The lamb is to be further processed and supplied to UK and European retail and foodservice markets.
2004 - Eurostock becomes the largest UK importer of Argentinian lamb.
| 2005 - New range of value added Summer Eating Products is launched. Following continued market development, Eurostock launches a new range of BBQ style meat products in the UK retail market, aimed at the summer eating market.
2006 - New range of value added Seasonal Meat Joints is launched The range is complimented by an all year round variety.
2007 - Eurostock initiates a global sourcing strategy |
